Bellaine breeds high-performance easy-care Merinos with stylish, white superfine wool.

Our stud name, Bellaine, is from the French words, belle laine, meaning beautiful wool.

But it is not just the wool that is important to us. Our sheep have a high fleece weight and body weight for their fibre diameter, they have good conformation and resistance to fleece rot, flystrike and worms.

While the stud was originally registered as a Merino (horned) stud, the majority of our young rams are now poll or half-poll.

The performance of all of our sheep is open for you to view on the Sheep Genetics website, and inspections to see how our sheep look are welcome.

We hope to see you at our on-property ram sale on the fourth Tuesday of January each year.

In 2022, our sale falls on Tuesday 25th January.
